Adel: A small, personal barge

Bane(s): Slang for a silver coin.  Official name for a silver coin is a Seal.

Barbs: Armor spikes.

Binding Contract: A tanglefoot bag.

Claw: A scimitar; a bladed weapon larger than a dagger.

Crew: Used to refer to a group of adventurers.  Crewman is singular.

Dealbreaker: A good-aligned weapon.

Devil’s Blood: Alchemist’s fire; whiskey.

Double-Cross: An attack made from a flanking position.

Dottari: The Westcrown city guard

Durotas: A captain of the city guard

Duxotar: Commander of the city guard

Egorani: A person or thing from Egorian

Fang: A dagger.

Favor: A healing spell; to “do a favor” means to cast a healing spell in combat. Some clerics of Asmodeus take the term literally, and expect compensation after the battle.

Formal Introduction: An attack made in a surprise round; an ambush.

Haloran: A lantern-bearing staff; these are available freely along the most well-travelled streets in Westcrown.

Harrow: A deck of cards used to divine the future in the hands of the skilled.  In others’ hands, it’s used to play Towers.

Imp: A common street thug; a punk.

Lemure: An outclassed opponent; one who poses no threat.

Long Arm: A spiked chain.

Mote(s): Official name for a copper coin.

Pact(s): Slang for a gold coin.  Official name for a gold coin is a Royal.

Parego: “Great region,” one of the three major districts of Westcrown.

Pyrahje: Man-sized torches that light major areas of Westcrown by night.

Rego: A region or neighborhood of Westcrown.

Royal(s): Official name for a gold coin.

Rushold: A game played by children.  Two teams, traditionally one wears sashes around their waists while the other does not, who each try to kick a round ball between two posts on the opposite side of the field to score.  The use of hands is only permitted by the Guardian, the player who protects the goal and the Rusher, who may clutch the ball and try to charge past the Guardian, with the opposing team trying to tackle him and remove the ball while his teammates try to prevent the opposition from tackling their Rusher.  If successful, his team scores.  If unsuccessful, he picks a new Rusher from his team and is ejected from the game.  The game ends when one team has a 3 point lead over the other or the team with the highest score at sunset wins.

Towers: A card game enjoyed primarily by cutthroats, ruffians and crewmen to lose and gain fortunes.  Gambling houses, lower end ones anyway, all across the Inner Sea offer tables for this game.  It is played with a Harrow deck and thus the play of this game is considered “sacrilegious” by many.
